ELKS ASSOCIATION SPRAY PARK
Grande Prairie Elk's Lodge #285 has partnered with the City of Grande Prairie to help fund the building of a brand new water spray park in Muskoseepi Park. The original water spray park near the Pavilion was constructed in 1986 and has been out of service for five years, so there was a real need in the community to replace the spray park and help revitalize the park as a family destination.
The construction of the park carried a price tag of $128,000.00 and the G.P. Elks donated $25,000.00 cash toward the construction. The Elks were looking for a project that would serve the young children of our community and this seemed like a really good fit. The park is designed to accommodate young children and toddlers in a safe and fun outdoor environment.
The new park is located adjacent to the Bear Creek Outdoor Pool. Construction was completed last fall and a community barbeque was held last August to celebrate the nearly completed (at that time) project. A grand opening ceremony will be held early this summer when the facilities are open for the season.
